Part 8: The rear hatch

Construct the edge of the hatch appearance to match the lower wall of the rear bed.

Part 7: Rear touch up

Building some rear appearance, did some cool "X" marking just like my previous car design to make it feels more identity to my designs, my usual popular dual lense lights and rear racing style rally canopy.

My buddy wedding dinner.

After i finish up some model work i left my house at 6.30pm to join the invitation to my mountain biking buddy of mine who have his wedding today. Congratulation Kevin!!! You're now break away from bachelor world. It was a traditional chinese wedding dinner held at the grand hotel restaurant. At first it was bad idea to have a wedding dinner with my tooth ache but after few munchies holy cow! the pain is gone!...maybe some beef or crusty chicken killed my nerve on my gum as i munch like a hog! I finally get to enjoy some delicious chinese cuisine. Most of those people who attends are close family, friends, mountain biker and house of hasher group (those crosscountry people on foot sports).
I did bring along my PSP equipped with go cam taking several high resolution picture and videos. Its was great tools. At some point my PSP become spotlight againts other people camera and cam phone...maybe they didn't expect a handheld game console turn out to be super Divicam on tyhe fly. I predict tomorrow PSP going to be sold off from local shop soon after today's head turner event, lol. Ok,wedding dinner was great! Check out the picture of the delicious wedding menu.
The crowds went wild, karaoke, drunk old man, the babes, the singles and some loud people doing carzy thing to spark the evening spotlight. The bride looks OK, but the babe who attend the dinner was ultra hot. I don't see much of my mountain biker group bring some hotties around. Anyway the dinner lasted till 10.30 pm. I had my belly full of hot boiled fat filled foot. Yeah i skipped the broccoli.lol

Part 6: Rear and door details

Despite having a serious barin stree due to my tooth pain the show must go on. Because i can concentrate to much so i just put half my effort by doing some minor touch up on the rear wind shield to make it modernized aero looks and door knobs for the side door which open like MAZDA RX-8 door style.

The pain is strong!!!!

Oh god why does it happen now! the pain is intensing! its like pricking my left brain or fels like my brain squashed between two huge elephant. I hope i don't get retarded else you won't have any models left to design. My tooth broken into halves few months ago but the pain sensation started 2 days again its its goin unbearable and increasingly awful each day. Yesterday i have to stay on sofa for the whole day. I loose precious hour wasted instead of working on finishing new truck. I've manage to call a dentist for an appointment to pull my broken big tooth on Tuesday...actually i hope they don't give me the needle shot..super needle phobic! I hate dental visit! those chair always reminds me of those horror stories death chair. I'v you guys didn't hear any news about me after Tuesday.... you know something.. pray for me dudes!

Morning special breakfast.

tasty breakfast..roti canai. Simple, cheap, crusty yummy ready to dip with curry sauce. This is called "ROTI CANAI".. ..originated from indian food. This taste good in the morning and really boost my mood to work.

Part 5: Frontal groove

Concentrate working on making details like groove lines and grilling placeholder, if you look care fully the cut out process in progress. Major construction on bumper, frontal panel and hood to make it looks ultra muscular looks. It was tough decision where to implement this groove and cutout necessary panel to achieve certain looks that i would like to look at, if you see it carefully i actuall embedded almost half "X" style groove which pose as grilling design on the frontal nose of the chasis, half on the bumper and another half on the roof. That's the grill where the air sucks in through the engine. The mid where i put my logo. The same apply to the rear chasis but much more low profile, i haven't concentrate the rear yet but later hours will do.

Not feel so good yesterday.

Yesterday..I got nose bleed...maybe that probably because i can feel it when i was at the office, feel like something ooze out from my nose and smells like blood in the morning till noon and itchy a little, that really take out my concentration away from my computer. Later that day evening i drive out into the park and went for "ABC SPECIAL" = its a iced fruity food in a little bowl at local park mini open space stall. Feel refreshed and my brain tempreature getting lower.
I manage to continue work out on the truck design... manage to embeded the "X" "SupermotoXL" usual trade mark which actually a crossed grill design on the lower bumper and top mid hood. It was cool! I'lll show the snapshot later when i get back home. I'm on PSP now.

Part 4: Dug out frontal panel

Today i sculpt in a horizontal hollow to make out place holder for headlights and grill just below the hood. It was a basic construction but again need some re-work after that. My expextation to have a different facial than that of traditional truck design.

Part 3: Sculping windows, fenders, rear bed and body.

I was tired. Tired because i think a lot on how and what kind of windows, bed length, body width and wind shield angle, fenders hull and things i need to shape up the layout of the truck. Today i manage to poke out the meshes into windows sill, bed, fender full and narrow the height of front hood. Then it took me another 3 hours to figure out WHAT KIND OF SHAPE MY TRUCK SHOULD BE?.... I don't want an ordinary everyday truck that you always see in the magazine. I squishing my brain for another 10 hours thinking of a design with my usual touch just like other models. Was thinking getting the "X" trade mark on frontal and rear end of the meshes. A little "XL" taste. Today task was well spent! The 3d meshes of basic layout truck enough to proceed the design into next stage. I skipped my lunch..that was bad... eerrgghh..tummy growling..lol.

Part 2: Construction getting shape!

Remember there's no blueprint around here so its up to my imagination and moving my mouse device to morph and shape up those vertices surface on the object meshes. I've decided to hex style the fender design and use normal dynamic angle roof design added to the chassis. At first it was suppose to be hummer like cockpit roof but after staring the LCD screen for 36 hours blankly i decided to put the roof cockpit design just like any modern truck design because i think boxy type roof like Hummer or Scout 4 wheeler won't look good with hat chasis unless it looks boxy on both lower and upper chasis design. Next tast suppose to decide which type of windows design i should add to the top panel. I've been munching lots of chocolate bars just to think about it.

Driving.....wish i was on my bike.

I hate driving. Look! blue sky! windy and nice breezy lane. I wish i could tore off my car roof and enjoy the openness. I hate line up behind cars. wish i was on my bike. Maybe i should be.. You better exercise your heart because driving make you lazy and lazy heart leads to weak muscle and less heart pumping power. Can't wait to get back home and hug my bike.

Damn i'm hungry.

This is my favorite local noodles..."Bee Hoon" as saying in chinese breakfast cuisine. Fried and tasty noodles. I like fried! With shreded eggs and shrimps! This is my essential food to boost my productivity and moral early in the morning. Take my word seriously... if you don't have a good breakfast i guarantee later day you'll have a bad mood all day with numb stomach and your brain won't function cause no food kryptonite to stimulate brain functionality. For short your ideas won't pop-up for the day. So...breakfast is good for your brain ...enuff said so. Later i should work out my truck design after my working hours.... nyum! nyum! nyummm!

Birth: embryo of upcoming monster.

Put the other low rider...lets jumnp to making 4x4 super trucks!
Lets make a big leap over and jump into modelling for a while, this time i'm gonna show you how this little embryo find its way into complete living ultimate ride. Just started yesterday i started with somehing basic from construction material. .....i always start from a simple steps of boxes....then.................................... then at the end of the day i have a basic boxes which guides me to expected shape of new 4 wheeler........This going to be a long construction process....sometimes i pause my self in the middle of the 3d construction and design. Since i never use any physical blueprint to guide the design shape on 3d model meshes i just use my brain/imagination to guide my hand sculping the shape of the body which makes a concept vehicle for my design branding....Concept Design number 18. To be continue....

Its Moday again.

Its Monday again.... huu huu.. Getting back to the office and start socializing with people that have problem around you...its the most busyiest day of the week in the office Its the time of the day where you brain split into half. 1 thinking what you should do now and 1 thinking where i plan to do for next design. Thinking always make me hungry because medical/health fact show that when you think more the blood in the brain carry more calories into you brain to feed more energy the get your brain workout with some ideas...which explain why i eat lots of chocolate without having to put extra weight. Except for today..no chocolate just a cheap lunch from office main canteen.. fried sweet sour fish, chicken and rice in a pack.

My Go!cam for PSP arrived.

Wooohooo!!! yes! my Go!cam for PSP has arrived! its was months of agonizing pain to wait for the stuff to arrive at my door step. Months ago i place order a pack of these at local retailer after its was stocked out due to selling like hot cakes to customer. Its end now, now it in my hand. "GO!Cam" or better known as "Chotto Shot" in Japanese is a portable camera add-on for PSP which turn your PSP into portable DV cam which you can take photo and record Gigs of videos! and also in comes with cool in device video editing software. The shots and video recording at almost DVD quality runs at 30fps! good stuff! Here more info at wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go!Cam

My plans was to use this cam to record my 3d work and stuff i do daily and post it at my blog right here. Plus its a good cam to record my car/trucks models in action direct on my screen. Since its mini USB attached it can be hook via extended cord cables so i can place the cam on my bike helmet and do some jungle adventure. This is rocks! Yup, its time to Youtube very soon!

Its playtime!

Spending good quality time playing PSP, hey everyone need a break after hardwork. Just got me a UMD of "Need For Speed: Carbon" and "Silent Hill Origin". I guess i'll be having a sleepless night tonight. Hope i could finish the game and back on my feet modelling some more cars, hee..hee..hee.. You know what actually its essential for me to to indulge playing more games and at the same time learn how other developer implement their 3d design into game...just look how they blend their 3d character, texturing and make it more realism especially mastering the art of 3d gaming development...which is a good thing..for your mental health. You guys should play "Silent Hill: ORIGIN"...scary!

Let me see if i can count my finger.

oh...ermm...zz....6, 7 oh no 8 wait that's not right... my brain really exhausted today. Maybe i should take a break for a while and leave the design thoughts aside. A good nap and nice soft pillows....zzzz....zzzz.

Latest stuff!: "X3-SIXTY" now ready for download!

Finally i've release standard version of "X3-SIXTY CD 14.0 XL-XRS" today, now available for download at 3 of my website:

http://www.geocities.com/SupermotoXL
http://4x4evo.net/smxl
http://www.chimpusmaximus.com/SupermotoXL

This models is so called low resolution quality due to the fact 4x4evo1 and 4x4evo2 uses standard 256 color 512x512 texture resolution size. The original models uses 1280x1280 texture resolution size. If you like the HD version of "X3-SIXTY" just wait for the release of "HD" edition made available for "CRASHDAY" game this coming week.
For now enjoy my lastest car models release at my website. Be sure to visit our Tutorial page to search on how to install the car into your 4x4evo1 and 4x4evo2 game. Also some new wheels and wallpapers too. If you have anything you wanna ask about just drop me a post at our local forum or shoutbox. Enjoy.

Good to go! Reflection problem solved!

I've manage to debug the problem on "X3-SIXTY" models yesterday, it was the "LIGHTBR" and "LIGHTBL" parts code which have a multiple layer of unwelded meshes. Results after parts isolation test to narrow down the problem works well which point out this parts were the culprit. Leaving ony one layer and few adjustment on brake light focusing inside TRK file setting finally i manage to run the car in 4x4evo2 with reflection mode on without random error of "dwwin.exe" error.
Good! Hopefully well see the launching in two days that is will be available on 10th January 2008. Watch it coming!

Annoying error!

This is getting annoying! Was it my DirectX installation problem, display driver, over poly on X3-SIXTY or something wrong with 4x4evo2 installation.

Friday, January 04, 2008

"X3-SIXTY" gettting chop off to pieces.

Its getting pretty closer to release date, there so much things to debug on both 4x4evo1 and 4x4evo2 format. Just now i decided to break clumps of around 900 vert of polyworth of per-parts into half which is somewhere around 400 vert or 700vert per-parts/each to make sure there won't be any of those game engine error shown on the screen when i set the game reflection on. I suspected that the latest DX9 graphic code wouldn't render heavily on high poly meshes in clumps of over 1000 vert per object, was maybe probably due to old game engine in 4x4evo1 and 4x4evo2 which still rely on DX8 technology. That would heavily impact on how i should manage my poly count models on my next creation. Here are summary of task that i did from yesterday until now:

1. -Breaking any parts with over 800/900 vert >> into half to tolerabe 400-700vert
2. -Improve LOD models, reduction of poly to 70%. Reduce around 9 parts to only 3 LOD parts...just necessary enough for "distance display"
3. -Remove bogus vert/de-vertex in game (Quality control over reflective effect/during shading or surface chroming)

All above task should've completed by midnight tonite so i can have more time do another test drive for suspension and traction setting tomorrow....that'll be much easy. After that its PSP time! lol.
