Hot doggy Weather

The weather is very scorching hot today. So extremely hot i would get sunburn just by standing 5 minutes under the afternoon sun. The weather around the world seems to be in very chaotic situation and does implicate heavy consequnces to the environment. News on tv is nothing more than critical landslides, floods, bush fires and heavy snows. Too many cars on the road, too many factory, too many deforestation, too many made made burning and too many urbanization there fore you get extreme polution and weather changes. Man never learn their lesson, let the weather changes teach them all some lesson.

Back Yard Band Concert!

At night not only we are entertained by displays of fireworks our cousins and relative made live gig bands/concert just behind our grandma house with open invitation to all villagers to come and enjoy the show. It lasts till almost 5am in the morning. Not everyone was asleep. The concert sounds echos in the house however i manage to sleep through next morning feel refresh! Those audience however didn't manage to go back home but sleep on the floor, shed or the living room instead. Luckily they are no stranger to us as they are part of our relative and friends. Cans of beers all around..ouch.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year! Early in the morning we go to church for proper festive blessing for the day and when we get back to grandma house its already full of friends, relative and villages neighbours. Unlike our urban style celebration here in this remote village people from various cultures, races, religion and beliefs come to celebrate as one share our celebration, happiness and enjoyment for this Chinese New Year festival. Don't be suprise both my father and mother relative have huge mixture of cultures, races, religion and beliefs that make other felt the gap of different is huge as seen from their eyes but in our heart they are actually very close as family. I also have chances to visit other relative around Limbang too. The crowds come in and out in endless from 8am till 4pm. Cakes, muffin, snacks, rice, noodles, bbq chicken, meat, veges, shirmps, cola, oranges, beers and etc all on the tables. I always hang around the kitchen too see if i can get some nice munchies and some cooking in progress. Wow! the make fried shrimps!!

Slummy City

Early in the morning i went off shopping for Chinese New Year supplies for next day festival. Its about 40 minutes drive to the city which is the hometown where i originally born. The city is very small, packed and not much to shout about, it very slummy, quite place to be and not that busy during peak hours. The city is very much "Village City" where much local come from outskirt of the city to do businesses and there not much development, commercial or tourism value yet. As for retirees and old people this is perfect place to be away from capitalism. As i move about in the only shopping complex in town theres not much things attract me to buy and appreciate only good fast food and local cakes to keep me enjoy for the day. By 8.00pm the city is very much in silent mode and not much of a night life. Everyone is at home with family and friends.

New born

We are very surprise a dog out of no where in this remote village come to our late granparents house and give birth to several cute healthy puppies. The mother shows no hostility and welcomes us to watch and hug the newborn puppies. The puppies are well fed by the mother. The mother wag the tail in much enthusiasticly as if she wants us to adopt them as part of our family. And so we welcome them.
