Beach fun fly

Another beautiful day at the beach, the tide is low, the wind was breezy and our glider glide slow and easy over the sunset. It looks beautiful against the blue and orange like sunset horizon as it flew above the sea from line of sight view. I also view it from my FPV equipment just to make sure my flight is above the coastal line.  Never felt so relaxed after hard working days. Tagging along are some of my friends flying their gliders and helicopters too zooming around and entertain some beach goer too.  Tomorrow is monday....bummer.

Beautiful birds view in HD

I just got my lightweight HD 808 #16 keychain and place it under my slow HK TRISTANIA @ TECHONE SPIRIT EPP foam plane. Flew FPV above our local area and too beautiful view of the surroundings.  The birds eye view on HD  looks beautiful.  Flying on FPV with HD recording make me appreciate more about the scenic beauty and surrounding where we live.    Life is now always need to be confined on ground level.  Its nice to be like a bird once.

Another way to spent your quality hours during lunch break.  Glad its small and micro enough to enjoy crawling around the desk without too much commitment going outdoors with r/c friends.

Flying tips: Turn it dark

Here is the best solution for those R/C pilot who have visibility problem when flying 'line of sight' (L.O.S) at high altitude on white cloudy sky.  Just paint/spray almost 50-70% your plain plane with black or other darker paint against sky color and you will able to see your plane clearly against the blue, white or dusky sky because your plane wings or other parts looks contrast/visible.  But do not spary the whole plane with same color make sure you make a differentiation of colors on every surface of the plane so you could recognized which parts is up, down, left or right orientation.  Thus you will never loose, confused orientation or lost sight of your plane again.  Cheers.

FPV #5 - WL V911 micro FPV heli project

Out of curiosity and desire to fly indoor through first person view i've gather some material and built my very own micro FPV machine.  5.8Ghz Nano VTX, 90 degree POV 520TVL nano 1g nano cam with built in mic and an FP micro 100 size heli that run on 1S lipo battery which fly much better than my old crap Align 100s.  Its 50x better.   Stock heli flown at 6 minutes 30 seconds but after putting FPV load its around 4 minutes max due to sensitive weight.  Since both heli and FPV hardware share the same 1 cell lipo battery its kinda a glitchy  but i get random good and bad videos unless i'm putting two battery configuration.  Overall it flew well with short duration but atleast was a successful implementation for my first micro attempt to fly around inside my house.  I think it would awesome platform if i could use this for fly around inside a haunted house without risking self encounter with paranormal stuff.  Fun stuff but i think i need to research more how to extend its runtime.

Project: 1/36 Toyota FJ micro crawler

I like micro scale crawlers but the one i bought last year ago was YOKOMO NANOQLO isn't scale but just a tuber crawler. So since i had long holiday i decided to convert it into a scaler crawler.  I went to local toy shop, bought a coil spring operated "pull n go" car that have a very scale looking body which it was a 1/36 scale TOYOTA FJ CUISER.  I was doing research on youtube that someone also made a similar mods on his YOKOMO NANOQLO crawler on the very same scale bodies.  I strip off all the unecessary stuff from the models leaving just bodies shell, base chassis and interior cockpit,  carve out a cavity where the axles suppose to be and build artificial lingkage support, bar and pivot for the suspension placement.  8 hours later it was done.   I'm not a proud owner of 1/36 scale micro r/c TOYOTA FJ Cruiser rock crawler.  I think its the smallest scale looking rock crawler models ever built and every to be when compare with existing crawler that sold on commercial R/C market. Got all the neat details just like a real TOYOTA have.  To charge i just have to open the door to access the charging port and some goes to the on-off switch too.  Sadly the runtime cut by half due to its heavy semi metal die-cast body which put strain on the 1 cell lipo battery, it could be improve by replacing more higher capacity battery soon.   Overall it was a great effort and hours well spent on this project.  Finally i don't get bored on my desk, got nifty crawler to roam around obstacles, pencils, books, phones, keyboards and etc where 4WD is possible.
