Back to drift mode.

Ok, so looks like i'm back again into touring cars. At first i was thinking permanently swanted to stick to mini off-roader the mini truck. Then after long thoughts weighting between keeping either mini monster truck and 1/18 NRX-18 i decided to shift all the parts back to its original place on touring cars that is the old 4wd NRX-18. Its was a 3 hours setup to move the electronic parts from truck to touring car. Castle Creation: SIDEWINDER MICRO ESC, 4200KV brushless motor, HL AM receiver box, TOWER PRO 9G micro servo, gears and connector swapped place. Thankfully i got my old battery back plus its comes with 2x 1000mah 6V battery with 400mah charger from old forumer buddy under barter trade method with some of my R/C stuff. Was a good deal. Now with CIVIC TYPE-R chassis the urge to get out and bash rival player spark the flame. Time to drift.
What happened to my mini monster ? Welll, only time will decided. Surely it will resurrected in few days with more powerful configuration and spec.

Adrenalin sunday.

Ah, finally time to release those immense waste of energy into the environment, With all those huge load of Saturday heavy dinner invitation time to release those fatty food into the air. At 3.30pm we gather ourself as usual for jungle exploration and race, As for me time to flex my aging muscles and wake up to reality world. I'm glad i dropped by for the activity on that day because i manage to meet an old face which long apart for almost 10 years, yup i met my old mountain biking buddies Mr. Christopher from Kuching city which he just recently transfer to Miri for work...actually we're under same corporation but different work field. That was a lucky reunion.

Dinner gathering

I came few minutes late at 7.20pm for gathering Hari Raya dinner at our mountain biking friend that Saturday night which makes me missed those cool cheese and chocolate cake munchies which made by our bike buddies Eugene. Richard invited a whole bunch of people to his open house for heavy dinner. Lots of cool stuff to fill our stomach, some of my favorites are satays, deep fried prawns, noodles, beef curry (rendangs), cake, puddings and another food which i can't remeber what's was that name was. We get around together chat about bikes and next biking activities. The night was calm but can't see much moonlights. Since it was Saturday night an eve Sunday so we at full rounds of foods to fill our stomach to the max to fuel our energy for tomorrow Sunday heavy bike ride. Yeah too full i hardly move and drive home. Felt my belly gonna explode, Since the keep on refill those empty tray with more and mroe satays i keep pushing until 3rd full plate and that's it. I start to leave the place and greet thanks to our host Richard and his family for wonderfull evening gathering dinner by 10.30pm. Kinda hard to steer my car with belly wanna ripped out, surely the food is damn highly compressed in my intestine. So i quickly drove home and that night it was sleepless and very very damn hot night. I can feel the like i'm some nuclear reactor plant emitting thermal energy from my body every minutes.

Onboard cam-video ..Duel racing

Here's the video from our Saturday noon 12.30pm play. Got both me allokitty, akiraceo, and eru in it.:

Once again we go crazy on hot Saturday noon at 12.30pm buzzing around carpark with our small scale radio control car.
PSP cam onboard NANDA NRX-18 touring car belong to Akiraceo our forum Member....yup the cam is heavy so the car was not in a good balancing mode. The one chasing from behind is my modified auldey mini-monster chassis equipped with HENG LONG AM 27hz receiver, ESC-Castle Creation 1/18 SIDEWINDER MICRO brushless system 4200KV motor, TOWER PRO 9G mini servo, PN Racing bearings and aluminum gears and lots of hop ups. Turning cheap toys into expensive jewel!

As you can see NRX-18 uses Brushless system 6800KV motor value versus mini monster truck which uses 4200KV brushless motor. Both however equipped with the same ESC system: Castle Creation SIDEWINDER. Too bad i lose the race by 2 second. lucky i didn't put LIPO battery else that NRX-18 eat dust.

My live r/c car onboard video cam

Here our r/c driving video in Youtube:

Here you go, a recorded video on board my Mini Monster race against NRX-18 (Akiraceo from MCnet forum) that we race today. That was a cool chase.
Sorry for the poor onboard video cam record quality because i record on SONY W200i handphone cam (very small light phone) and accidentally set the color mode to black and white. Both R/C using same Brushless System (Castle Creation SideWinder Micro ESC). We played on round looped circuit car park. Played a few good laps.

Thank goodness the mini monster chassis and supple suspension helps stabilized the car while carry heavy cam on board. I think that the most ideal speed to record, not too fast not too slow just good enough to record the chase.

The hills are bold.

Like any Sunday its time to burn down some fatty under the skin and ride free into the wild. Time 3,30pm, weather bright blue sky and moderately hot. We parked our sunday car at small local village at Beraya Village outskirt of Miri. With GPS navigation we navigate ourself into remote jungle where it used to be a small logging trails and dense bushess. We came in huge group but by accident we got separated into 3 smaller groups and went aimlessly in the jungle using good sense of path finding and common sense we manage to find way in and out of the forest. This ride is way tougher that usually because, all manual climbing, ridge jumping and deep trenchess. The terrains is all the way up the hills. Alll torque gears shifting and lots of huge bumps to control over the steering. Wrong move and down the cliff i go. However i'm glad nobody sprint and racing at face pace else it would have drain my power and heavily tired which soon ruin my Monday mood, Along the way other ten enjoying bright sunny blue day and challenging rides over various terrains and turn we also witness the destruction of mother nature which along the way the forest heavily cutdown for development and agriculture activity, lots of tree been cut down and our favorite canopy trees that used to protect us from heat and sunlight gone down too. Whats lets isd crusty mud, dirt and dried branches. Overall this place is sucks to ride and not much so called "Indiana Jones like adventure compared to my favorite biking town in "Kuching" where everthing is pure adventurous forest. Hope i can travel back to Kuching city someday with my bike. After long ride we settle down nearby plantation estate and have a chat. At the end of the ride its was all about getting back to our finishing point and grab some cold cans of Isotonic. What a day.

Hari Raya munchies.

Ok, i have bad habit munching whole jugs of chocolate goodies this festive season Anything chocolate is an always awesome treats. This year Hari Raya celebration i've visited 15 houses till my stomach full to the brim, three days of free meal! Meet friends and taste those local exotic foods especially those crispy and bbq satay (meat on sticks).

Going high tech on Mini's

Looks like my "Do it yourself" custom radio control models going further hightech beyond ordinary toys. My final parts to complete a line of hightech R/C collection have reached its peak. Got me a programmable ESC kit which i can hook my custom made mini r/c via USB programming card connector then link it to the computer where i can easily tune the performance of my car models. This is so cool. No more programming through sound beeping anymore.
