Another MB4 buggy hybrid truggy

Yes i sold my LRP S18 TC TEAM FACTORY but in return i get back as replacement; An upgraded Anderson MB4 buggy with SPEED PASSION burshless system.

Specification:
------------------------
-Anderson MB4 buggy
-Speed Pasion SP Brushless System: ESC 18 A + 7800KV brushless motor,
-HPI SX1 servo
-LRP Steel CVD drives with Steel outdrive cups,

I almost going to sell these buggy as soon as i bought it because i just ripped out some usefull parts (Steel CVD/UJ) which is usefull for my earlier version of white LRP buggy. However since its raining seasons i make use of the buggy by turning it into hybrid version of buggy with truggy arm width via conversion using some MB4 truggy suspension kit to make it looks wider and stable. Buggy looks with truggy performance. Added advantages the ESC is actually waterproof making this models an ideal wet condition basher especially under heavy rain. Overnight i worked our sealing the gearbox, diff case, radio systems and lighten the kit to make ideal model to run under wet condition.

I may have plan to design a virtual models into 4x4 EVOLUTION 2 game based on these 1/18 MB4 buggy. Maybe wait until i finish off other projects.

Here come the buggy

After my 1/18 truggy gone mia...(due to undesirable circumstances which i don't want to explain further) i've manage to pickup some scraps left over from truggy and convert it into a buggy using aftermarket upgrade which i aquired from my friend via trade. Took 2 days to re-built including cutting the body shells, painting, parts assembly and stress test.
The buggy looks astonishing with solid sturdy looks, major blue alu bling and pure white luxury look. I didn't paint the rear shell but to give it transparent looks so everyone can see its guts inside. The Buggy now is 20% heavier from my last Truggy setup due to fact most of the suspension arms sets are made from tough alloy metal and stabilizer kit. The low slug shell makes it harder to fit it crowded cockpit which force me to rearrage the wires and components to much lower height. Motor heatsink default bulk out with fan on top forcing me to cut a hole to allow more space for the heatsink set to pop-out, anyways at the sametime giving optimum cooling since its outside sucking more air in. Because its arms are shorter in width against Truggy setup so corneting and stability are much unstable which now rely on driving skill and shocks setup to keep it below the Center Gravity limit.

Buggy away

I really hate to keep an item in the house if its use was under utilized else it would have been a great enjoyment. My PSP, computer, bike, car, tools, camera, phone, r/c models and other are used to the max and bash, But thus 1/8 scale nitro powered buggy doesn't live up to be tortured to the max. Well aged only 4 gallons of nitro fuel i've decided to sell off to save up my space at home rather than smelling the fumes everyday, Beside the race track was too far away from home and to bulky to move around too. Best to trade with M11. Yup go get new controller.

Painting my buggy shell

Still in vacation mode here i am busy my self with some nice paintjobs for my nitro 1/8 body buggy shell. My original shell was to yellowish and dirty so decided to give it some "up" looks. Took only a day to work it out. Some scrubbing, masking and painting and there we go. White, Orange and black. Looks new!! Another day well spent. ...its been a while i haven't gone into painting. lol.

Custom painted body shell and improvement to overall game texture.

Real Race G2 r/c simulator ingame models looks pretty lame and hardly know how to extract the 3d models thus only able to edit its texture. Using only texture shadowing tricks i manage to redesign the texture to make it looks real, oganic and alive by giving my special digital paint touch. Was cool paint work. Finall i can draft a design on the simulator before i paint it on my real buggy. One for my Thunder Tiger 1/8 nitro buggy and 1 for my 1/18 NRX-18.
