FPV #5 - WL V911 micro FPV heli project
Out of curiosity and desire to fly indoor through first person view i've gather some material and built my very own micro FPV machine. 5.8Ghz Nano VTX, 90 degree POV 520TVL nano 1g nano cam with built in mic and an FP micro 100 size heli that run on 1S lipo battery which fly much better than my old crap Align 100s. Its 50x better. Stock heli flown at 6 minutes 30 seconds but after putting FPV load its around 4 minutes max due to sensitive weight. Since both heli and FPV hardware share the same 1 cell lipo battery its kinda a glitchy but i get random good and bad videos unless i'm putting two battery configuration. Overall it flew well with short duration but atleast was a successful implementation for my first micro attempt to fly around inside my house. I think it would awesome platform if i could use this for fly around inside a haunted house without risking self encounter with paranormal stuff. Fun stuff but i think i need to research more how to extend its runtime.

Slow FPV #3. FPV flying in safer way.
Been doing lots of thinking lately about the risk of flying a huge 1.2m over wing span over crowded places below especially when i'm on FPV (First Person View) flight mode which i know its not a good idea for adventure flight for long term. The weight itself is a major concern since it can be alike brick falling from the sky above if it happens. So i've made some research, studies and found a solution which can lead to safer and fun way to do some FPV adventure without huge risk of public damage property if my plane crashed or anything happen in the future.
The solution: Its a flexy 3D EPP foam 800mm winged sub 290gram super light weight profile plane (HK TRISTANIA EPP 3D @ TECHONE SPIRIT) equipped with lightweight nano FPV hardware that reduce any public damage if crash and safe enough to fly around public places and its very slow. Check out my photos. Its flexy, soft, soo lightweight, thin, slow, economical, easy maintenance, looks friendly, funny and have enough performance to fly anywhere, unlimited heights and required less space to land or you can grab it in the air. Crash test shown it doesn't even cause serious damage to public property, animal or any living thing including people around it. I've did lots of maiden flight with this EPP profile plane, it fun, entertaining 3D plane both to the pilot and the public and capable to fly low and slips though narrow places and places where normal planes though to be impossible and easily grab my hands on it while in the air. Since i'm an adventurous mountain biker i took advantage to fly FPV with this and manage to discover new forest trails, terrains and discover cool places before i decided to jump on my mountain bike. This is forever my favorite FPV plane. Awesome and i'm glad to make this hobby a safer and adventurous activity. More video coming soon on this EPP FPV flight.

A change for tour de walk
I wonder what so doubtful and insane about walking back and fro from work place on foot when the distance is "just" 10.7KM (Oh btw my previous best record on foor was 68KM hiking around Kuching country side per-day). My co-worker and friends was disbelief except for my closest friends wasn't all surprise since it normal for me to do throughout my entire life. "Just" means its a small matter for me since i been through worst than that. It was because that day someone accidentally locked the room which store my bike so i ended up walking back home walking such distance over crowded urban, hills and corridor of unsecure street till sunset. No big deal. Yesterday took me 1 and half hour to reach home with handful of rock pebbles for security against raging street dogs. First option i always have a sedan car to drive easily but i think it consume too much budget on fuel per-month and hassle to park around, so i save some road rage a decided to go second option that is my trusty road bike which already bought long time ago for commuting purposes which took only ETA 20 mins to arrive. The third is walking. Why walk? Because i felt it will be more adventurous, thrills, healthy, building up my manly sets of leg muscles and skills plus nothing more relaxing than walking on the under the beautiful orange sunset sky and cool breeze from the sea...you don't get much feeling when you're driving under the roof. That night i felt good, easily fell asleep after dinner then again the next morning i felt extra set of walking muscle began to emerge. 10.7 digits seems small for me but looking through Google Map visually it looks pretty scary when i see the distance i've covered no to mention after i surveyed the distance on other places that i've been doing it the same. At the end i smiled and manage to keep the 20 years of recordes and achievement for not using public Buses nor Taxi for similar intention. Walking rocks.

My white road stallion
A month later i fell in love on my new found friend, she's fast and very elegant looking. Been riding mountain bike for 15 years now, its time to shift the pace to step my other foot fully on-road to utilized the advantage of speed and higer pedalling candence. So its time to get the ultimate road rage machine. Yes few weeks ago this white stallion took my heart away. A road bike with intermediate level groupsets, carbon fork and some "just enough" performance parts gave me wings on the road. I got totally hooked with this bike on its first day of flight pushing me extra 40% speed advantage over mountain bike plus its easy on the pedal too. The shifting and braking was a bit very awkward for me since my hand kinda twisty over the goatee handle bar since the finger muscle already adapt much for mountain bikes, so i have to get use to the pain reaching the foward vertical position brake lever and shifter. My mountain biking apparel also isn't suitable and ergonomics enough for road biking since all those compact posture and sitting position risk getting blister and drag so i have to dig in robin hood men in tights which is so un-MX like. 4 weeks later i've become the fastest man on the road. Constant 32km/h, 47km/h on sprinting, 65km/h on drafting and top speed at 95km/h when chasing behind huge drafter. Now i got two mad machines. I love it!

Ghostly trails...feel it!
Me and my buddies love the jungle, our tropical jungle full of weird things especially its the type that is 'undistrubed'....then came along us ride pass through make our own pathless trails on our mountain bikes. Sometimes i could hear bogus sounds of screetching disc brake that none of us did at that time... be we sure that thing was making that sound mimic it to lure us into confusion. Thumb rules being in tropical forest: never shout out people names and talk about things that make the "thing" says it. Yup. be silent and stay loww...shhhhhhhhhhh...

Mind boggling ride.
Last Sunday was a bit mind boggling, despite having going up and down and swirling around dusty and muddy path venture in a new trails, were very much low on fuel after running for hours. Unlike our previous ride this one comes to a dead stop where no ones knows where we are actually going. Were are on top of the work looking high into blue horizon searching for an exit. 1 hour before dark we continue crept through murky dead forest....no joy. At 6.45pm we manage to find our way out by climbing over dense bushy trails leading to the edge of the highest clif where we have to climb down to nearest logging trails which we have to danggling our self going down the steep ravine aided with the help of few riders hand to keep us hagging down slowly toward the ground. 10 minutes before Sunday handful of rider manage to move on to pass by 5 final hill climb before escaping the dark forest. At 7.00pm its totally dark. Since i forgot to bring by portable headlight i have to chase our leading rider Richard who's on his HID light as my only hope of light source. Dangerously we travel at staggering speed blindly on rough and unpredictable trails guided only by narrow spot of lights. 5 minutes before reaching the destination we arrive at local tarmac road which leads to our finishing point where we park our car. Sign of relieve we sped happily for home.

Along the Sunset
Yet another sunny day down the road. I do feel very moody today cycling beside the beach and feel the soft glare on my sunglasses with nice slow mp3 music in my ears play me Venice style "Undine" song into my mind...all relax and cooling. Surprisingly the bird nearby bushes of tree flew slow side by side as i pedal down the lane where tree started to shed its leaves and wind blew as i passed by. Out here i feel more adventurous like a new world is there waiting for me to explore and see wonders of the scenery as it goes sunset to dawn as the sun goes down behind shadowy building glittering with diamonds light. The clouds looks amazingly awesome pink orange as i cycle up the hill for home. By night alone i go enjoy the night life and a great simple meal. The waiters and the cook welcomes and greet me with a smile serving me my favorite dishes. People around me, family, couples and normal people enjoying their night out in colorful feelings cheering the scene. I was enjoying myself, keep my mind blank and when i got home i feel relaxed and quickly doze in slumber with a smile.
