Easy foam plane fix

The best thing about foam plane is no matter how you bad you dent, bent or distort the whole body parts you can always get a fast perfect fix by dipping the affected part of the foam into more than 100 degrees of boiling hot water.  In this case i had my glider wing crashed into other r/c plane from opposite direction and plumetted into the soil.  The wing badly bent on the root junction of the wing spar.

To fix it just wrap a slabs of thick cotton clothes around the affected damaged foam. Then pour a hot boiling water (probably beyond 100 degree) above the clothes so that the hot water soaked inside temporarily hold the tempreature and heats up the contacted foam surface.  The hot water will then get absorbed into the plane's damaged bead foam which then use heat to expand the foam back to its original uncompress form slowly.  When pouring the hot water do it with caution, watch out not to pour excessive amount of hot water tempreature which causes the foam to swollen further and create bubly surface or blister.  Do it slowly and you may need manually straighten the bend wing or surface if it was badly bend from the start because when the foam is in hot condition you can easily reshape back the parts to original state.   I did it dozen of time on my second hand plane i bought from my friends and it always works 100%  keeping the models foam surface back like into smooth surface.  So far it works on my EPP, EPO and normal foam used on planes models.  Try it out.  Cheers.

Bike in good hands

When it comes to professional bike maintenance and bike damage recovery theres only one man i look up to...its Mr. Syariff my very very old best mountain biking buddies whom weve been together riding for 15 years. All i can say his bike maintenance and fixing skills is second to none and can fix a dead bicycle out of nothing with minimal tools and resources. When he get it done its 100% the bike will be very much in fresh new condition and best top notch performance. It took him only a day to completely fix every corner of the bike to perfection which left me awe in amazement when i tried it late at night for a test drive. Wow! perform far better than a new bike! kudos! I'm proud to be his buddy.

Bike needs medic help

My Saturday was spoiled or you can say interrupted by a compulsory schedule: bike fix. Well i have to since the last race did terrible things to my bike which make me wonder having being in top ten placing worth winning against the destruction of my bike. Got me a box of spare parts and replacement on worn out parts recently. Well it took me almost 1 day to scrub frozen grease gunk and 5 hours of re-building the bike to normal function. At then end of the day got me greased all round my body and smells like rough neck oil rig crew. My bike have ressurrected!

Should i sell mini-z or not?

I have some delima, i'm not that rich guy who can get another enthusiastic stuff for hobby nor able to keep it long to maintain it. As you know i have several MINI-Z (miniature size 1:28 scale hobby grade radio control models) which is very fun to drive but very expensive to maintain as the parts very hard to come by and its a rare item to be sell or sold off in our local market. After thinking long term affect i decided to switch my level to a better platform.......i'm going for 1/8 NITRO or Electronic Brushless engine which is easy maintenance cost, more parts availability and fast but require bigger space and huge ebergy consumption. MINI-Z is fun especially being outdoors but it too much addictive! Once you're addicted the parts upgrade was too much of a cost vs the bigger scale models. Should i sell or should not....errmmmmmm...

Saturday day out.

No surprise now i'm much back again into Radio Control scene after absent for years. The parts getting cheaper and the trends also pushing up way popular then ever. I've already put my investment into few hobby grade R/C models and daily wnet outdoor for fulltime spin around local ground if i'm not onto mountain biking for the day which pretty much explain why i'm relax a day after the ride. Last Saturday evening me and my buddy who's on bigfoot bettle doing some off-roading near the beach but i've settle some technical problem for 1 hours then manage to get going later on the dirt. I've spent 30 minutes fulltime swing around and jump on the dirt with my truck doing some big air and then flip tumble 360 degree and back on its wheel again ready to sprint all over the track. It was fun pastime and great way to be outdoor watching me driving along with friends remotely on miniature car/trucks. As usually there always few trade off after fun bashing around the dirt...yeah back at home always been maintenance work, lubricating, adjusting suspension setup, tunning the electronics and unlucky me i had broken servo which cost me few bucks to fix it but its no biggy.

Unlucky day!

Saturday is the most unlucky day for me this month, hopefully only today because what i purchase yesterday gone flunky today. A costly flunk. Without any warranty my newly bought R/C car went hay wire and with broken servo after simple drive around the cargo compund behind the office, hit by water and impact?..i doubt so but can't help just let it be...arrrrr!!. Gladly the electronics didn't fried but the servo broken and costly repair. I just got profit building models but now it just suck up and drain my pocket one more time.. I hope this will be last after i get quick charger adapter and Lipo battery and its over for that hobby. Right now the car sent over to the shop for repair while i'm going outdoor mountain biking through local trails while waiting for him to finish up the maintenance. Later tonight went for a visit again.
