Life is just awesome!...going everyday on two wheels.

After years commuting on bicycles to work finally i think life was too perfect for me.  Feel younger, active and just kill 3 or more birds with one stone. Life is very lively.  I loose massive weight, my long pants getting extremely loose..very loose!, have time to enjoy radio control hobby/activity in between, save fuel and money, save traffic headache, save time because i can slip through traffic, had a good sleeping time, wake up late but stay fresh, have time to eat proper home made breakfast and my health is improving plus getting strong leg muscles.  Wow! all these because i'm skipping from drving my car to work and getting on my bicycle...this is so awesome!  Other than that it seems my often presence on local road have become part of familiar appearance among traffic user which is good for me so that they aware that i'm using the same road everyday too.   When the weather is all good with blue sky and white clouds its nice to tour around and enjoy the scenery..just plugin into my MP3 SONY WALKMAN and there goes enjoyment. Sunset always been so beautiful along the coastal area as i'm riding on my way home.  Sometimes if i get hungry i have lots of mobilty opportunity to wonder through several burger stalls, cafes and food stores without worry about parking space problem.  I can also go about wondering my own business without worry time and fuel.

24 hours not enough

Ever wonder if there were like 36 hours a day. Its hard to spend quality time for myself after been sliced for working hours, driving around and stuck in a jam, breakfast, dinner, lunch in between, part time work and other necessary task which left me just a few or less than 3 hours of fun out of 24 hours in total. I wish i could overwrite my sleeping timetable to more shorter length so i have excess an hour but it would kill my biological clock. Time is crampy. That why wise man always says "Time is money, every second is valuable". I've been practise multi tasking whenever i go to save up more time between home, office and the outdoor task. I always bring stuff that i have to work on from home to the office so i can work it out during breakfast and lunchtime. while waiting for someone inside the car spent playing game on PSP or workout on r/c model assembly or sketch up my next 3d design. Whenever there a void between time i would use the time efficiently doing something that i would do next in advance and at later time i could continue the balance work which save me another extra for other task.
Benn having lots of grey hair on my head, everyday i would planned carefully about what to do next like working on new project, 3d design, outdoor mountain biking, maintenance, what to cook, when to play on my pc, hangout with friends and thing i would miss before my time comes. Wish that time stood still so i could roam freely

Not a second to loose

We only have 24 hours a day, but i wish i could have 48 hours a day. There so much things to do but times remains at its limit.so 24 a day sort of. I’m practicing a lot on self multi-tasking. Doing work and at the same time you can do other stuff in one time. Also make use of special time like office lunch break for my hobby or while waiting to pick up a person at school or at several places use my time to do things I should do at home but do it now to save time at home for other stuff like writing or drawing my design on sketch while waiting. Every time I go to work I would bring along a bag of “homework” so I can do some stuff when I’m very in a minutes without wasted and this will give extra advance time doing other stuff at home since I’ve done another one previously. Its like sipping whole 48 hours work into 24hours time frame. It was good, my brain remains active every minutes not even 1 second I doze into a sleep mode…hahahaha..

Part 2: become game developer

So they found you? Usually they will ask few things about:
- past work
- past employer/game dev-publisher
- achievements
- developement/3d tools you use

The fact is mostly they hoping if one can use tools like 3D Studio or GMAX because this is the coomon tools they use to develop meshes for their game environment object. Which sometimes troubled me since i use Z-modeler from the start and GUI stuff really twisted my braihn around, luckily i have was to export in 3DS format with little glitches.
There will be so me issue and risk you have to face when you're hired for contract, these are major ones that i usually got me an asprin for my headache:

- Can you cope with tight deadlines? ?

This is the biggest problem for most of us modeler to confront. Eg: building at least 2 detailed car models in 5 days can be tight jobs especially during the day you have other careere to face with. Penalty will be inpose for by pass the due because most game project involve time = money thing. A day or two loss means $$$ loss. Usually they will deduct from your contract payment else quick termination. So before you sign contract be sure YOU REALLY CAN CATCH UP WITH THE TIMELINES.

One thing i hate being in that "3d artist/modeler position" in game development teams is that you tends to built replica of something rather than thinking what i'm free to design especially when they built car involving licenced car models. Why dun they just skip that expensive car and just built a DIY brands? Luckily ony 70% out of 100% giving me chance to express freely on my designs, That's a plus!

Oh yeah i forgot, the most headache thing that comes at last part of the projetc was legal paperwork, tax and payment settlement that usually involve lots of walk around in and out off the legal department, banks and customs office...arrghhh...those forms are pulling my legs....that's when you're under overseas contract.

Hotel style food???

As usually i went around our company cafeteria for my usual RM$2.50 meal for my lunchtime. Usually the cafe people will do the food digging onto the plate for you. So at the end after the payment i only get this amount. Doesn't looks the usual amount i used to receive. Looks a bit less. Looks like hotel food from the way they put on the food...like hotel deco's. Feel expensive looks but cheap and won't fill my stomach to the fullest. I guess its the effect having world fuel price going up and so aas the food goes too.
