VEXUVIUS released!

After months of hard work finally i've completed the VEXUVIUS project and made it available for public for free. I've put hundreds of hours on the model creation and the output results are very satisfying and enjoyed the compiled products runing on 4x4 EVO2 simulator as it roam around the heavy off-roading trails. There are 3 variant for everyone to enjoy:

-VEXUVIUS CD 28.0 XL-UR
-VEXUVIUS CD 28.1 XL-TR
-VEXUVIUS CD 28.2 XL-TRC

Each models in 4x4 EVO2 format handles differently as they have different performance feature in the simulator. Overall the "UR" variant have more controllable handling and fun. Other are extremely powerfull built for hard core driving. All the models comes in both playable 4x4 EVO2 format and SDK development package and also comes with customizable template skins for those who love to do some painting in CPT format. VEXUVIUS: TOYOTA CALDINA styled hatch lback?

Oh yes, VEXUVIUS development is back on track again from a long break. Guess what....i made some major changes to the rear roof of the model meshes since i had bad feeling about the original design. Plus possibility of having two door type SUV than 4 door as planned earlier. Visit my website at http://www.supermotoxl.com under Development page for more info.

So unlucky guy in GTA

Its Sunday again, the weather is wet, cancelled my cycling schedule and prepare to meet up with my buddies for PSP multiplayer gathering. We played GRAN THEFT AUTO all noon but i was hopping we'd get back to MEDAL OF HONOR but no ones into it probably chickened out since last week looses. So once again after end of the GTA game i triumph again with more bloodied winning over my buddies. It was easy and i've finished him off in a seconds. LOL. Attached are some sad screenshots taken from our multiplayer screen shots (my nick: allokitt.. and P627). Hey its not my choice choosing GTA for the whole afternoon, i just jump in and i win.

Revenge in PSP!! Headshots!

Sunday was my happy hour on PSP. Our r/c buddie gather around for Playstation Portable on the air multi player game inside local snack bar & cafe. Were playing shooting games in MEDAL OF HONOR titles. My first run in 20 minutes went bad because of unfamiliar controls but the next 10 minutes later i went yeah! headshot! I love sniping! All of us taking our sweet time avenging, savaging, and camping to get a good hit on other player. I've improve my camping and sniping skills while runing hehehe.. the game is as sweet as old COUNTER STRIKE on PC minus the mouse control of course. Everyone was try to hide away from me but not anymore. Feel like on top of the world when looking at my score. We were like so hook up with the game from 3.00pm till 7.00pm and munch some chocolate chip cookies to keep our stamina up. At the end of the day the Sniper always wins. hehehehehehe....oh yes my avatar name was 'HERO'. Attached are screenshots of my victim (18SG). We'll be back again with vangeance next week. hohohoho..

Complete Hatsune Miku

Yay, finally finish the whole PSP game in "HATSUNE MIKU: Project Diva" titles.....in the middle of the night. Finally can sleep well with all those unlocked PV musics, costumes and cool stuff. Thats my 25th psp game i've completed in 5 months. Awesome. Can't wait to make special Miku custom theme for my next model. Another miku fans just called up and send me few dance software to play around with since he know i'm fond into building animation 3d and as well as working on anime character. Based on Miku and her related character i have the urge building my own character to represent my website and my creation. Its been 5 years i haven't pick up a pencil and building anime character yet. Hatsune Miku release inspire me to boot up my brain and start making one.

Custom Rock crawler in 4x4 EVOLUTION?

There’s high possibility a Rock Crawler model is to be built but I’m not sure if its an R/C scale 1/10 models or actual real scale 1/1 vehicle. My outdoor activity with crawler models inspired me to create one since these stuff are technically challenging both driving and building it.

Miku in PSP

Thats the only game i willing to finish all the stage till final since its has very catchy tune/songs, challenging and very lively plus cute too. "Hatsune Miku: Project Diva" is one of the most influential game titles for PSP when i comes to "follow the tempo" game with interesting music to listen too. But i'm still stuck at the stage where she sang the fruity tune about 5 steps away from final i'm in Easy mode. Thanks to Rafael for introduce me the titles which led me to curiosity playing this game and got me a disc of OST too. Rafael made a request to built an HATSUNE MIKU theme type XAVAGE which i'm gladly lend a hand on it.

EXAGE in Need For Speed: Most Wanted

Thanks to McLaren_3Dcm from NFS site (http://www.nfscars.net/forum/showpost.php?p=443546&postcount=136) for helping to put my new car model into Need For Speed: Most Wanted game. The rendering quality in that game simply superb and looks beautiful giving spark and edge to the car when compare against aging 4x4 evo2 game render. Among all the converter around the net he is one of the most perfect converter for the job to convert my models into perfect form with no error or changes to the original design that i expected it to come out from another game platform. Unlike other converter he manage to maintain proper looks, appearance, spec, setup, meshes, texture and even the model name remains intact, everthing 100% accurate conversion work. Thumbs up to my bro McLaren_3Dcm. I'm looking forward for him to help me to port my new design in to NFSMW game which i'll be releasing it shortly around this month.

Part 2: become game developer

So they found you? Usually they will ask few things about:
- past work
- past employer/game dev-publisher
- achievements
- developement/3d tools you use

The fact is mostly they hoping if one can use tools like 3D Studio or GMAX because this is the coomon tools they use to develop meshes for their game environment object. Which sometimes troubled me since i use Z-modeler from the start and GUI stuff really twisted my braihn around, luckily i have was to export in 3DS format with little glitches.
There will be so me issue and risk you have to face when you're hired for contract, these are major ones that i usually got me an asprin for my headache:

- Can you cope with tight deadlines? ?

This is the biggest problem for most of us modeler to confront. Eg: building at least 2 detailed car models in 5 days can be tight jobs especially during the day you have other careere to face with. Penalty will be inpose for by pass the due because most game project involve time = money thing. A day or two loss means $$$ loss. Usually they will deduct from your contract payment else quick termination. So before you sign contract be sure YOU REALLY CAN CATCH UP WITH THE TIMELINES.

One thing i hate being in that "3d artist/modeler position" in game development teams is that you tends to built replica of something rather than thinking what i'm free to design especially when they built car involving licenced car models. Why dun they just skip that expensive car and just built a DIY brands? Luckily ony 70% out of 100% giving me chance to express freely on my designs, That's a plus!

Oh yeah i forgot, the most headache thing that comes at last part of the projetc was legal paperwork, tax and payment settlement that usually involve lots of walk around in and out off the legal department, banks and customs office...arrghhh...those forms are pulling my legs....that's when you're under overseas contract.
