Cool FPV dog fight snapshots

Here some cool video snapshots taken from my live FPV video feed flying on AXN floater jet/glider.  With "head-tracking" mechanism i able to move my head about to view live around my plane just like real pilot do as i flew around remotely.  The feeling was awesome!! Chasing around my buddy's war bird models, flying tandem, parallel, trailing behind planes and move about and around your wingmans just like real combat drama or something that i flew like in simulator or video games.  Makes me proud to become a pilot and i fell no regret into flying hobbies.  This flying  adventure are getting epic each day.

Yes! going HD!!

Lucky i was able to stumble this all popular gadget for DIY on-board video flight stuff on ebay. Its "SONY BLOGGIE HD" with swivel cam, LCD and HD quality recording. Not as light as i expected compare to the thumb stick spy cam that i always use but for a HD High Definition video purposes no argument i suppose...its cheaper alternative to GO PRO cam. Got it for half the original price and 2nd hand value, 4GBs, HDMI ready and looks good. After using it for a month on mountain bike with crashes, bangs, tosses, some flight casualties and etc it seems these SONY cam survive the torture only at the end held by duct tape after suffer a loose panel, cracked body and slidy USB bay. Other fact its also FPV ready too and comes with 360 lenses as optional adapter. Thumbs up. Hope it will keep running for 3 years....i hope. Check out my youtube soon for HD's!!!!

Going closer for FPV

My dream of flying higher into the sky almost closer than ever taking first step closer to reality, being up there watching the land from above from birds eye view is moments to be thrill about.  My first step started yesterday when i decide to push my flying skill higher than what people think was limit.  After weeks of flying a 450 size radio control heli i think it was about time to put all those flying fear aside and set my dream towards the sky higher beyond expectation.  Few days before i have multiple crashes and leardn few rational lesson about flying a heli.  Every crash and fixes is worth doing for the sake of learning and skills building.  A day before yesterday Sunday flight i've made some mods to my MINI DV video cam unit a clone of MD80 video recorder with its case removed and replace with lighter battery for ease to lift the device off the ground, it was strapped to the helicopter skid grip so this will be my first try to see hows my flying will be up in the sky.  In the morning i so some preparation and testing before initial flight on the afternoon.  In the afternoon i made my first high altitude flight at high speed mimic scale heli cruising  in one huge loop around safe flying zone but flying distance limited to my human visual range but i think its best i can do right  now.  I manage to flew 6x rounds, was a bit scary but its worth an adrenaline shots, thrills and excitement of flying.   You can view here some First Person View recorded video onboard my heli as i control from the ground here posted in youtube.  At the end of the day it was an awesome Sunday ever, put a big smile as i get back home, now pondering what's up next for this coming weekend.

Thats it! i'm going for photography to keep my life full of colors...that is really something i could carry around and share other people. Due to budget constraints i do have to keep low getting DSLR camera. I hope i get one soon. Life at 30's aren't worth wasting time so i guess i'll make myself usefull this time. I think i consider myself lucky enough to be able to travel at very distance place where no man able to achieve in one day. Place of interest, scenic surroundings, colored sky and things i can see once in a lifetime. Getting it recorded in the picture is a best bet that i shouldn't miss it. So i think i need to trade my old pc and some junks....ehheeemmm..

Those long trails marks on the sands made by...you know what...lol. I'm lucky enough to live nearby coastal area. The winds and the sound of wave pounding brings calms to my heart. Nice!

My live r/c car onboard video cam

Here our r/c driving video in Youtube:

Here you go, a recorded video on board my Mini Monster race against NRX-18 (Akiraceo from MCnet forum) that we race today. That was a cool chase.
Sorry for the poor onboard video cam record quality because i record on SONY W200i handphone cam (very small light phone) and accidentally set the color mode to black and white. Both R/C using same Brushless System (Castle Creation SideWinder Micro ESC). We played on round looped circuit car park. Played a few good laps.

Thank goodness the mini monster chassis and supple suspension helps stabilized the car while carry heavy cam on board. I think that the most ideal speed to record, not too fast not too slow just good enough to record the chase.

Hello cute W200i

In the past i like to use expensive bulk symbian hanphone. But i learn one painful lesson, big and expensive with full automated feature are useless because it a phone and to bulk to carry around. This year i keep everthing simple and small in the pocket and yet very cute. I trade my old Nokia Symbian S60 phone to new SONY ERRICSON WALKMAN phone W200i...i did careful servur, internet review and research before i purchase this phone..overall this is definately a fun phone. At cheap price it comes with standard WALKMAN with FM radio, camera plus all sufficient goodies to keep me well prepared for communication and entertainment purpose. Its small size also means very friendly and less hassle to carry especially me being outdoor like biking and jungle adventure without having my pocket bulged and shake around like camel hump back. After all the review for this phone is so positive almost everyone like it very much. Cheap and usefull! For more info about this phone check this at this links: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_w200-1824.php

R/C Photography

Its Sunday again....... Just came back from outstation work in the evening and straight away i'm pick up two R/C models and join with other friends where we head towards open area high above the hills where there's dirt track suitable to play around with my 4x4 truck and also a flat hilly tarmac road nearby just a few meters away from my house to play with 1/28 touring car too. The weather was so good, the sunset sky gave out very beautiful ray of sunset light on the ground, after we finish off the batteries after hard driving around the dirt we then gather our R/C models and pose again beautiful backdrop around the rocky dirt space above the hills. Above picture shot with Playstation Portable (PSP) eqipped with 1.3 megapixel cam slot on mini usb port. The picture was great and the angle view taken was beautiful and breath taking...hee.hheee

My Go!cam for PSP arrived.

Wooohooo!!! yes! my Go!cam for PSP has arrived! its was months of agonizing pain to wait for the stuff to arrive at my door step. Months ago i place order a pack of these at local retailer after its was stocked out due to selling like hot cakes to customer. Its end now, now it in my hand. "GO!Cam" or better known as "Chotto Shot" in Japanese is a portable camera add-on for PSP which turn your PSP into portable DV cam which you can take photo and record Gigs of videos! and also in comes with cool in device video editing software. The shots and video recording at almost DVD quality runs at 30fps! good stuff! Here more info at wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go!Cam

My plans was to use this cam to record my 3d work and stuff i do daily and post it at my blog right here. Plus its a good cam to record my car/trucks models in action direct on my screen. Since its mini USB attached it can be hook via extended cord cables so i can place the cam on my bike helmet and do some jungle adventure. This is rocks! Yup, its time to Youtube very soon!
