FPV #4: CEN MINI MADNESS ground FPV

Once again out of curiosity and itchy to test new experience into ground FPV exploration i bought myself 1/16 mini monster truck: "CEN MINI MADNESS" from my friend who let go at bargained price.  Then got myself bunch of micro scale FPV hardwares which could fit into this small scale models but mostly basic setup, simple OSD module, miniature wide angle CMOS cam at 520TVL with 120 degree POV lense, pan-tlit head tracking system, 5.8ghz vtx, standard antenna and powered with 1 cell lipo.  Took just a day to built and simple test it on the ground without hassle.
After some test run at our local field and beating around dirt, gravel bushes and etc where this little moster truck can go it seem ground FPV was not exciting as what i could have expected.  Even after setup my cam view high above the truck platform my 270 degree point of view over the landscape seem to be limited and unable to identify further horizon over at leat 60m distance.  It was a boring and dull FPV experience because i expect to be able to see more stuff from the ground.  Probably the truck isn't high enough to view over the obstacles as what i see people did same ground FPV on Youtube website.  However it still a fun way to drive via cockpit view and able to see lots of activity surrounding near by object and people wirelessly.  For people that walk passby this little machine they seems to be amused by what they think was a small robotic UAV truck watching over them.
For conclusion if want you to go ground FPV get a bigger and taller off-road truck to be able to view higher above the terrains or bushes.  My CEN MINI MADNESS truck ended back into the cupboard after running over one week.  I prefer flying than driving, more fun, more things to see, efficient, cheaper and more adventurous.

TRAXXAS STAMPEDE!!

Now a happy man owned a rugged durable monster machine to kill his spare time,  i'm glad to found it over the internet at very good bargain price through local seller.  Behold Radio Control 1/10 TRAXXAS STAMPEDE XL-5.  Its 2WD and it can wheelie!!  I couldn't imagine how awesome this machine could do having being outdoor wheelie all day because in the past i hardly could wheelie any of my r/c models full time even after some mods.  This guy was pretty huge for a 1/10 scale, huge wheels, fat suspension system,  simple tub chassis design, 2WD for wheelie and cheap maintenance cost and great thing about the electronics is its waterproof!..yup from servo, esc to motor so i have no worry being under the rainy days.. yiippeeee!!.  Having a famous name like TRAXXAS comes with quality high impact resistant plastic and very tough drive terrain gear system could withstand harsh bashes and less pocket burning for parts.  I think it was a good investment since i looking forward to put some experimental video works with Mini DV MD80 cams mounted on this truck for First Person View driving and to fill some void during my passive spare time for example when i'm not cycling or day off relaxing my legs under the sun.  Will post some video of Pede in action soon.

After months of hard work finally i've completed the VEXUVIUS project and made it available for public for free. I've put hundreds of hours on the model creation and the output results are very satisfying and enjoyed the compiled products runing on 4x4 EVO2 simulator as it roam around the heavy off-roading trails. LRP SHARK aka ANDERSON MB4

Been runing this little critters for a month now after i sold off all my touring cars including parts and tools because this new ones are better both off-road an on-road. Small, portable, computerised high tech, jaw dropping power and speed not even any of our local real size supercar can catch up with it. Have both world latest technology and world most dangerous explosive power under the hood. Having going through several models throughout my secondary hobby lifespan i found this one an ideal racer both on-road and handling.

Specification:
-------------------------------
model: LRP SHARK 18/ANDERSON MB4
transmission: 4WD with 4 spider diff system
radio rx: Sanwa 2.4Ghz with fail safe
esc: Castle Creation - SIDE WINDER MICRO bushless ESC (upgraded software revision 1.17)
motor: Castle Creation CM2040 - 4200kv
Servo: HITEC Digital MG
power pack: GE-POWER 7.2v 25c Lithium Polymer
suspension: Oil shocks
------------------------------

What can i say, this is the most perfect rc model i ever own, everything custom built inside according to my driving style. The speed, power and computerised tuning is the most drooling factor to own one. Infact was a great machine to race against my rival on the race track...soon.

The almighty small 4WD dirt monster.

Once again......Its small but pack all the lastest technology equivalent to hi tech computer and machinery. Can't believe its costs a bang to let it run wild on the dirt track. 2.4Ghz spektrum module, high kv brushless motor technology, programmable computer tuned ESC with software modification and upgrade, 4 channel computerised remote control, high dischare rate lithium polymer pack, precision mechanical parts and lots more... and can fit inside a shoe box. This time its even better!!

Buggy away

I really hate to keep an item in the house if its use was under utilized else it would have been a great enjoyment. My PSP, computer, bike, car, tools, camera, phone, r/c models and other are used to the max and bash, But thus 1/8 scale nitro powered buggy doesn't live up to be tortured to the max. Well aged only 4 gallons of nitro fuel i've decided to sell off to save up my space at home rather than smelling the fumes everyday, Beside the race track was too far away from home and to bulky to move around too. Best to trade with M11. Yup go get new controller.
