Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all. Well its already on second day of Christmas right here. For the first time in my life finally whole big family gathered around this week for a big family reunion from all over the town both far and near on this special day. With lots of nice meaty grilled BBQ meat, puddings, cakes, karaoke, great foods and present everyone seems to enjoy this festive moments. On the side note my sister was lucky to get an iPad…dang! Anyway its nice to have all our love ones get together again, most importantly fulfill my mother’s wishes to have everyone together under the same roof on this very special day this year…I knew she wouldn’t be long enough too see the future so its about time to do great thing for her now. I recorded some videos into DVD to make sure we able to review back those great moments among our family. Merry Christmas.

HOBBY KING - BUSY BEE Glider plane

Would like to thank to our friendly local flier for giving away one of his used FPV plane as my first step towards flying an aeroplane. I made my successful first flight on FPV glider plane "Hobby King - BUSY BEE" without any problem only just minor noob on landing of course. Flying an a glider plane seem to be more relaxing and forgiving than my helicopter. I can enjoy much of the sky scenery with this. When i received this plane it was just bare kit, with servo, broken front gear and mess up physical appearance. I've paid extra for the brushless motor which is a good deal, I took two nights to refurbish and mods the aeroplane back to its best condition and finally it looks good on its fourth maiden flight in very gloomy windy morning...still the landing was a rough ride but acceptable.

Specification:
------------------------------------------------------------------
Kit: HOBBY KING - Honey Bee
Motor: TOWER PRO - Brushless outrunner
ESC HOBBY KING 40/50A - Opto/No BEC
BEC: HEXTRONIC 5/6V
Servo: 3x HEXTRONIC HXT 900
Receiver: TURNIGY 9x V2. Mode 2.
Battery: TURNIGY 2200mah 25C 3s1p
Battery checker: HK Wireless tracker
=========================================

Despite having overall almost bad review over the internet about this pusher type glider plane i still think it has a decent handling yet i have no problem flying nor not much complain about how it flies...most probably i flew my helicopter pretty much manouver like an aeroplane which makes this flying more easier than i thought it would be. It flew sweet and just need to spent time to get to know it before i could tame into a friendly horse. Between my heli and this plane i have no intention to segregate them because both seem to have different role and ability in its very own field of expertise. Helicopter is thrilling + adrenaline while plane are mentally relaxing and sight seeing joy. Having both of them flying machine every afternoon put a huge smile for eternity. I will post some on board cam videos on this glider once i found a sweet spot to place it on the chassis.

My flight deck

I manage to get some super cheap (some are free) resources for my flying hobby and populate my room since i get myself some good bargain from close friends and local flyer rather than spending much over online shop which is 95% far cheaper, you can say i was walking around asking for bargain and the effort was paid off.  Never hurt to ask around. *wink*.  At the end of the day i got to enjoy my flying hobby without burning a hole in the pocket and still cheaper than spending a meal at fast food outlet, lol.  Now i got bunch of heliopters, kits, bulk load of parts and planes.

Comparison to previous year where i used to enjoyed mostly on ground based models such as car, trucks, buggy both off-road and onroad models.  Shfiting myself to flying took me a big leap and change my perspective about this hobby.  Its far cheaper, less hassle to maintain, clean, super fun, very mature oriented hobby, more socialized activity and get to make friends with new crowds of people everyday.  This activity bring positive than cons. Thumbs up,

TAROT 450 SPORT helicopter

This is my third R/C Heli. A quality well know clone of ALIGN TREX 450 SPORT under the name TAROT branding.  Overall workmanship quality and built almost makes me wonder and asume both TAROT and ALIGN was made under the same factory.  Anyway it was cheaper by 50% getting a TAROT than ALIGN since both perform the same.  As for me if it flies good then it does the job well done. All blue alloy parts and quality carbon fiber built.

It was easy to fly, more stable and high precision in handling. I can do much stable acrobatic move in the air suc as loop, inverted, fast 360 flips, Immelman turn some stuff than what a HK450 GT (aka SE V2). Almost 95% of the parts in SPORTS interchangeable and usable in SE V2 and vice versa. Such improvement include bigger rotor disc, wider swash plate for acrobaticagility, frame mountain simplicity, narrow frame and less slop on the rotor head and tail rotor.

Flying everyday

Life is great these few months, every since i'm into flying R/C helicopter and joined groups of local flyers in town my everyday life seems to be more adventurous and interesting daily. Flying activity tooks a few slot in my daily time table but it doesn't affect my other interest and daily chores such as cycling, office working, surfing internet, family and friend socializing. With a good time management i able to enjoy my flying hobby before and after office hours. Was at time where i suppose to stuck in the traffic jam inside my car but now i spent time more on nearby flying field while awaiting for traffic jam to clear off before i drove home from and fro from work place on clear street. Smart eh?.

Return to the Creator

Just recently i lost two closest aunts on my mother side of the family due to health issue that commonly plaque by modern day diseases: cancer and heart failure.  My deepest sympathy and prayers to my departed aunties and also to the family who are affected.  May both granted by Heaven above to enter into the House of Our God and live happily every after in Heaven.
This is the disease commonly plaque by our society; rich food, processes products, artificial chemical, pollution and other modern day health hazard in and out of the house something that our body naturally unable to tolerate this made made product.  Always aware and caution about thing  we eat, the stress we work, need time for relaxation, take care of your health and exercise to keep your body functional daily.  A good healthy life style leads to longer and prosper life.

Just once outing for meal

I always prohibit myself consume too much outside meal which is unhealthy who knows it could be unproperly cooks or added too much chemical which is harm for the body.  Sometimes i just can't ignore the fact every where we go even in the house the hazard of consuming any consumable ptoduct non-process or processed food will always have contain harmfull chemical because this is modern ero where chemical always be.  So i think there no harm to take a bite once in a blue moon having a take out for meal which i take it as a reward for myself for doing hardwork been busy all day in the office.  Fried asian steak chicken. Yum! Yum!

Going closer for FPV

My dream of flying higher into the sky almost closer than ever taking first step closer to reality, being up there watching the land from above from birds eye view is moments to be thrill about.  My first step started yesterday when i decide to push my flying skill higher than what people think was limit.  After weeks of flying a 450 size radio control heli i think it was about time to put all those flying fear aside and set my dream towards the sky higher beyond expectation.  Few days before i have multiple crashes and leardn few rational lesson about flying a heli.  Every crash and fixes is worth doing for the sake of learning and skills building.  A day before yesterday Sunday flight i've made some mods to my MINI DV video cam unit a clone of MD80 video recorder with its case removed and replace with lighter battery for ease to lift the device off the ground, it was strapped to the helicopter skid grip so this will be my first try to see hows my flying will be up in the sky.  In the morning i so some preparation and testing before initial flight on the afternoon.  In the afternoon i made my first high altitude flight at high speed mimic scale heli cruising  in one huge loop around safe flying zone but flying distance limited to my human visual range but i think its best i can do right  now.  I manage to flew 6x rounds, was a bit scary but its worth an adrenaline shots, thrills and excitement of flying.   You can view here some First Person View recorded video onboard my heli as i control from the ground here posted in youtube.  At the end of the day it was an awesome Sunday ever, put a big smile as i get back home, now pondering what's up next for this coming weekend.

Go higher into the blue sky ...adventure adventure begins!

Years into R/C finally i'm getting closer to realised my dream flying into deep blue sky but i need to appproach slowly step by step as precaution not to make future mistake of possible crashing a 450 size heli.  3 week ago got me 2 sets of heli  plus some hardware necessity after withdraw from my Adsense Ads profit and make use of investment into flying because i'm strongly going into FPV flight (First Person View). I felt confident i could handle a bigger size heli after flown a ESKY BELT CP, ALIGN TREX 100 and hours of Phoenix Simulator. Took me 3 weeks of kit assembly work and a week of post flying preparation before taking off into the air.  The science and tech behind flying this machine are like 7 wonders of the world unlike comparison to ground based r/c models.   Flying models have more versatile usability ranging from fun flying to FPV (First Person View) useful for aerial observation, exploration, high altitude photography and other thing that we can't do on the ground which is why i'm heading to the sky. My heli a HK 450 GT belt driven already equipped with KDS Flymentor stabilization system hopefully could carry some usefull payload such as camera and FPV equipment for remote flying cam "Unmanned Flying" may land me a good opportunity as a civilian search and rescue heli and aerial photography as return investment on day.  As for now i just practise some basic manouvers and enjoy as part being able to pilot a manly machine.  Thankfully we got lots of friendly local flier to help me out with some flying stuff...very happy. Will report more status in a few days about flying soon.   I guess by now you guys should know where i've been since i'm not always at my website http://www.supermotoxl.com/ ,  Gone out flying babe!!

Wow! dude dying for an ipad?

I guess you heard some recent news about a boy from china trade a kidney for latest I-pad and another girl selling viginity for luxury gadgets and I-phone just to keep up with trendy society.

Links to the news:
http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/06/02/boy-17-sells-kidney-to-buy-ipad-2-in-china/

http://asiancorrespondent.com/58077/chinese-teen-offers-virginity-in-exchange-for-iphone-4/

Shame to hear these people nowadays especially young generation falling for material gain rather than keeping their flesh and soul intact just because someone owns something to keep up the "high status" quo. Get I-phone and I-pad just to access internet? I'd rather stick to good old notebook cause its faster, easy to use and less hassle. Anyway i hardly going on mobile gadgets never used anything to view nor type on such small screen..so unpracticle. Also have never been interestd in "oh that guy has cool stuff, i must have one too!!" part of society that live based on materialistic status because its not part a must have survival kit. But foods are must!!

Having graduated as an Information Technology Bac. Degree holder i still keep my way of life as an old skool back to simplicity life to interface with the world and people rather heavily influenced by rapid technology around me. I just walk around with cheap small 7 year old phone in my pocket and it does enough daily job done. Technology necessary if it solve problem not adding problem to the solution. Would you eat a burger with fork and spoon?, when you can actually use your hand to hold it and put the burger it into your mouth. Like i-phone and i-pad to a spoon and fork its completely unnecessary. Unecessary gadgets are pretty much marketting hype to get more profit.

I don't have I-phone or I-pad but i don't think i really need it even if i could afford it, after much thoughts about paying internet broadband cost, frequent charging, bulky pockets and too fragile to carry around on my outdoor adventure mission i think i doesn't benefit me at all. I'd save my money good good happy meal, nice warm clothing, R/C models to keep me thrilling and bicycle maintenance cost to keep my adventurous journey going.

More bumps, bruises, crashes and scratches

Someday i'm lucky some day am not, but sometimes its best to crash once a while on two wheels and last few days ago i have my faceplant after drop down the steep edge of the trails. Wasn't that bad since i get used to it all the time but when i got up it made me wanted to go over the edge again since it was like "what? that's it?" For me every crashes is a step by step path to enlighten my karma, an added ingredients to my adrenaline junkie. Feels like a real man when you had one or more. Life is a bummer when you're like "no pain no gain" thing. So...Adrenaline kicking, ride fast, jumps, crashes, gets up, a smile in the face, thumbs up and lets do it again. Is life an awesome adventure!

Happy fly day

My weekends went out awesome! Was having a great time flying my helicopter outdoor in the open field with high winds to keep my adrenaline pumping. Zoom fast like a missle, soar high like an eagle and took manly crash without serious damages like a man. Unlike any other land base R/C models i play this one keep my chin held up high to view the open blue sky and white clouds. Really taught me to appreciate the atmospheric beauty in the air. Here some of my recorded event flying my heli ALIGN TREX 100 on video in youtube. Enjoy.

Life is just awesome!...going everyday on two wheels.

After years commuting on bicycles to work finally i think life was too perfect for me.  Feel younger, active and just kill 3 or more birds with one stone. Life is very lively.  I loose massive weight, my long pants getting extremely loose..very loose!, have time to enjoy radio control hobby/activity in between, save fuel and money, save traffic headache, save time because i can slip through traffic, had a good sleeping time, wake up late but stay fresh, have time to eat proper home made breakfast and my health is improving plus getting strong leg muscles.  Wow! all these because i'm skipping from drving my car to work and getting on my bicycle...this is so awesome!  Other than that it seems my often presence on local road have become part of familiar appearance among traffic user which is good for me so that they aware that i'm using the same road everyday too.   When the weather is all good with blue sky and white clouds its nice to tour around and enjoy the scenery..just plugin into my MP3 SONY WALKMAN and there goes enjoyment. Sunset always been so beautiful along the coastal area as i'm riding on my way home.  Sometimes if i get hungry i have lots of mobilty opportunity to wonder through several burger stalls, cafes and food stores without worry about parking space problem.  I can also go about wondering my own business without worry time and fuel.

Full surveilance going portable

Check this out what i won through ebay bids, got me 2 units of MINI DV MD80 (clone), a micro video cam recorder which i always wanted to have so small enough  i could stick on my helmet, on my bike or on my R/C models to records on going events happens around me on video print.  Its also another good investment and insurance to protect me on dangerous road when going cycling.  Who know someday if get knock by irrenponsible driver i could actually got the evidence recorded in my Mini DV.   Glad it came in very handy.  As for my review, this clone MD80 comes with 720x480 resolution running at 29-30fps, runtime of 2 hours (i guess) consume almost 2GB for 30 minutes recording, support max up to 16GB recording.  It need to use micro SD card to store the video which doesn't come in the box, so i bought separately a 4GB SANDISK type 4 for smoother recording but i should get type 6 with 16GB max.  USB connectable/rechargeable, voice activated, thumbs size,CMOS cam, include lots of brackets holder, optional rubber protection and cheap price was a good value camera just the right job.

TRAXXAS STAMPEDE!!

Now a happy man owned a rugged durable monster machine to kill his spare time,  i'm glad to found it over the internet at very good bargain price through local seller.  Behold Radio Control 1/10 TRAXXAS STAMPEDE XL-5.  Its 2WD and it can wheelie!!  I couldn't imagine how awesome this machine could do having being outdoor wheelie all day because in the past i hardly could wheelie any of my r/c models full time even after some mods.  This guy was pretty huge for a 1/10 scale, huge wheels, fat suspension system,  simple tub chassis design, 2WD for wheelie and cheap maintenance cost and great thing about the electronics is its waterproof!..yup from servo, esc to motor so i have no worry being under the rainy days.. yiippeeee!!.  Having a famous name like TRAXXAS comes with quality high impact resistant plastic and very tough drive terrain gear system could withstand harsh bashes and less pocket burning for parts.  I think it was a good investment since i looking forward to put some experimental video works with Mini DV MD80 cams mounted on this truck for First Person View driving and to fill some void during my passive spare time for example when i'm not cycling or day off relaxing my legs under the sun.  Will post some video of Pede in action soon.

Got me ALIGN Trex 100

It was a nice summer like day  as i head towards my friends bike shop, park and walk my way to R/C Hobby shop for minor parts mods to welcome my upcoming r/c monster truck.  In there i was about to made a purchase when suddenly in the corner of my eyes caught my attention on something looks familar from Youtube. It was that instant moment i knew i must have one,  Its ALIGN TREX 100s micro heli, hobby grade! Stuff is for pro and not something to be called kids toys..its serious stuff for adults. With my mind instantly erased i've paid $500 and sped on my bike towards home like little kids with birthday present. Unpacked, lots of touching and hugging and then straight for outdoor after the battery was fully charged.   Was an awesome heli being outdoor, this little critter wants to be outdoor even it was recommended indoors and did well going against moderate winds (if you're good pilot).  Durable, less parts assembly, cheap parts, its a bash, crash and fly heli that doesn't burn my pocket and gets me going even in my work place.  I could have gone with Blade MSR but my local hobby shop and nearest online shop supply bulks of Trex 100 parts so i couldn't complaint much.  After weeks of flying i think it was money well spent and good skillset earned.  I have gain some tech knowledge consider useful for real world application plus a good karma for my soul after seeing something flying freely up into the blue sky and white puffy clouds.  Its was beautiful experience!

A change for tour de walk

I wonder what so doubtful and insane about walking back and fro from work place on foot when the distance is "just" 10.7KM  (Oh btw my previous best record on foor was 68KM hiking around Kuching country side per-day). My co-worker and friends was disbelief except for my closest friends wasn't all surprise since it normal for me to do throughout my entire life.   "Just" means its a small matter for me since i been through worst than that.  It was because that day someone accidentally locked the room which store my bike so i ended up walking back home walking such distance over crowded urban, hills and corridor of unsecure street till sunset.  No big deal.  Yesterday took me 1 and half hour to reach home with handful of rock pebbles for security against raging street dogs.  First option i always have a sedan car to drive easily but i think it consume too much budget on fuel per-month and hassle to park around, so i save some road rage a decided to go second option that is my trusty road bike which already bought long time ago for commuting purposes which took only ETA 20 mins to arrive.   The third is walking.  Why walk?   Because i felt it will be more adventurous, thrills, healthy, building up my manly sets of leg muscles and skills plus nothing more relaxing than walking on the under the beautiful orange sunset sky and cool breeze from the sea...you don't get much feeling when you're driving under the roof.  That night i felt good, easily fell asleep after dinner then again the next morning i felt extra set of walking muscle began to emerge.  10.7 digits seems small for me but looking through Google Map visually it looks pretty scary when i see the distance i've covered no to mention after i surveyed the distance on other places that i've been doing it the same.  At the end i smiled and manage to keep the 20 years of recordes and achievement for not using public Buses nor Taxi for similar intention.  Walking rocks.

2 bike, doubles me

In the past i had dozen of bike for hardcore riding but lived individually before the next replacement,  this time i have a pair all at once which makes it doubles to up keep their mechanical health consume both budgets and time.  Fortunately both have different roles to serve me on land.  Thankfully their benefit outwieght their overall cost in area of health, leisure and transporation  as concerned.  My GIANT TRACE mtb seems to top everything both quality and performance at pro level while the MERIDA road bikes lacks top notch performance parts serve only for commuting and training.   This year expenses goes mostly on my road bike which need further tailoring and customization from ground up due to some flaw when i ride on it possiblity of un-ergonomic parts, gear shifts and pain on my hands.   Stock saddles almost killed my crotch which goes on for days  but after putting stake on new SEPCIALIZED saddle with ergo Gel + Body Geometry thingy for RM$280 finally no more painful crotch, its better than future injury or surgery like what Lance Armstrong went through.  Road clothings, shoes, acessories all needed to fit road biking needs all added up.

Pounds bye bye!

Check this out, i'm losing some weight right here. Was awesome to see i was able to shed a total of 9 Kilogram in less than three week through biking on both road bikes and mountain bikes. Shedding those load makes my body feel more light and agile and my pants seem to loose digits. My BMI (Body Mass Index) improves too. Now when i climbs some stairs i don't feel much load strains on my knees, feels so good! Looks like i have no excuse eating more good food as long i keep on pedaling daily. But on the other hand shedding those fat under the skin leave me bitter cold on normal office tempreature and during rainy days, can feel very drastic changes in tempreature drops. So cold i had to use a very thick winter jacket to keep me warm. Another pros and cons losing some weight but for food yes!..
