Slick upgrades! super smooth sunday rides

On the first day installation of new expensive wheelset for bike and custom disc rotors i took it out for a ride for test torture both road and on roads. Now its been 4 days. The wheels have been perform superbly beyond expectation, cross country, freeride and downhills jumps. Bike now handles more quicker and accelerate much faster, I can now sprint faster at shorter interval below 5 seconds. For short its superbly great, very lightweight, superfast!, super strong! super stiff and feels like there a blankets of cloud underneath the wheels but when it comes to disc rotor that suppose to match the products when pedaling drops to low speed below 20km the rear disc resonates at very high pitch vibration....very hummy. I didn't know i'm going to be one of those hundred of unlucky people to ride with loud humming sound from the rear disc brake. The review about this products only affect particular setup and happens rarely. A set of WH-965 XTR high tech wheel set mix with lightweight XTR disc rotor prove to be a dreaded combination and scare my riding buddies away. Today i suppose to enjoy playing games on my PC but this bike problem steal my time slot. I'm trying to detect what causes my rear disc make a humming sound and low speed which vibrate and resonate through the entire ride. The rear disc caliper didn't even touch the rotor at free braking mode and there few mm gaps of clearance which is normal. I also lower the wheel tire pressure to check if the vibration from the tyre grooves did any transfer back to the center hubs and dissipate to the disc rotor which causes the rotor to make humming sound. However slight tweak the rear XT disc caliper by spacing the pad accurately center proportion to rotor location by adding extra shims seems to reduce its humming occurance by 40%. I googled for solution..all i get is down grade the disc brake rotor to DEORE XT and problem solve..well hell no i'm not going to down grade and put few grams heavier on my wheels. I'll be working around the clock before to fix things up. Overall 10 thumbs up for the XTR wheelsets and 2 thumbs down for the disc rotor hums. Oh btw 10 thumbs up for the new chainring too. The FSA 44T CNC machined lightweight alloy mix on old DEORE XT crankset did perform well on high speed pedalling shifting. I might wanna get extra ring for the mid and small chain ring too. It feels great! Sunday ride was super smooths!
